  1. Ty for sharing! This reminds me of my summer gig back when I was a teen. One job, we had to sod the entire backyard, and the guy who could drive the bobcat called in sick, so we had to move all the rolls with wheelbarrows. I had one fully loaded and was moving pretty quickly through the same path we had been taking, but one spot got pretty packed down around a rock. I hit it and the barrow started bouncing. Before I knew it, the wheel guard stuck in the ground causing it to come to a dead stop. I racked my nuts with the handle as I went over it, and all the sod dumped out on top of me. Sucked at the time, but it’s a good memory. Thanks for reminding me. 🙂

  2. Laurence Lewellyn Bowen was here, used the local shop. Held the door for me. He’s so humble” I’m paraphrasing but that was episode one and I was hooked.

  3. Just to hijack this, for those who loved ‘This Country’ then ‘The Detectorists’ is right up their street!

    Same mellow, endearing humour.

  4. When I first worked for my brother’s tile company the whole crew waited patiently for me to dump a load of concrete. Had to run a wheelbarrow full of wet concrete up a ramp like this.

I never gave them the satisfaction. Proud of myself.
